古代刈安染め：刈安色とは、刈安という植物で染めた、美しく澄んだ黄色のことです。その刈安を染料としてゆっくり回数を重ね染め上げた、透明感のある黄色の美しさを味わえます。
古代藍染め：日本では藍は、蓼藍の葉で染められた色、また染料となる藍の植物そのものの両方の意味で使われています。蓼藍は水分の多い土地を好み、水害にも強い面をもっているため、暴れ川として有名な徳島県吉野川下流一体で多く生育しています。この藍を阿波藍と呼びます。今回、この阿波藍を使って鹿角を藍色に染めていただきました。
古代紫根染め：紫草の根（紫根）によって、何度も何度も繰り返し染めた深く濃い紫色を深紫といいます。何度も何度も時間をかけゆっくりと染め上げた深紫の妙味ある一品です。
