Description
| Indigo-dyed accessories from Saito Dyeing Shop, established more than 120 years ago in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture as an indigo dyed navy blue shop. We make mainly small cloth goods, tote bags, and tenugui hand towels by hand. About Chichibu Aizome Surrounded by mountains, the Chichibu region has long flourished with shrines and temples, and has nurtured its own unique culture from clothing* to food* to housing* to dialect. [As the lyrics of the Chichibu Ondo (Chichibu folk song) say, the Chichibu Night Festival, held on December 3, has been handed down from generation to generation. For more than 120 years since our establishment as an indigo dyeing and navy blue shop, we have been dyeing lintels, curtains, banners, and other mark-dyed goods essential for these festivals, as well as reprinting costumes that have been handed down from generation to generation. In addition to supporting the inheritance of traditional culture, we also help businesses to prosper by making store curtains, advertising flags, and store decorations. We will continue to refine the skills that we were born and raised with in the Chichibu area, and we will continue to devote ourselves to our work with gratitude and pride. This bottle bag uses traditional sashiko weaving as its main material. It is deep enough to hold a wine bottle, so it is the perfect size for storing wine or sake to be served. The interior is made of Japanese patterned fabric, and the Japanese taste that can be glimpsed when the bag is opened gives a sense of profundity. The outer material has a smooth feel to the touch. The outer material is made of a smooth and silky stitch-weave fabric. This firm fabric is taut and slightly thick, and maintains the beautiful shape of the bag body. The handles are slightly thin, but the skin-friendly stitch weave fabric makes them easy to grip. |
