■ジパング・常滑
かつて、マルコポーロは東方見聞録の中で言っております。
カタイ(中国大陸)の東の海上1500マイルに浮かぶ独立した島国がある。
それが「ジパング」。
莫大な金を産出し宮殿や民家は黄金で出来ていると言われてきました。
そんなジパングは何かと宝の山と言われ海外からも占領しようとこの国にやってきました。
こうした歴史が伝えられてきました。
この話が本当かどうかは定かではありませんが、
この国には間違いなく宝があります。
そんな日本の伝統的な「技」「人」「急須」を
世界に伝えたい。それが『ジパング・常滑』です。
■常滑：日本の六古窯の一つ、歴史に彩られた焼き物の街。
伊勢湾に面した知多半島の西海岸に位置する愛知県常滑市は
中部国際空港(セントレア)の玄関口であり、東西6km・南北16kmと
南北に細長い地形で全国的に焼き物の街として知られ、
千年の歴史がある常滑焼は、日本の六古窯の一つに数えられています。
