| Each blade is carefully cut by blade craftsmen in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, the town of cutlery, so that envelopes and other items can be cut comfortably. The sheath is decorated with mitsuba hollyhock in the motif of Tokugawa Ieyasu's favorite sword. When displayed on a hanging stand, the paper knife can be quickly taken out and used without having to look for it when you want to use it. Since the knife is in the sheath, the blade is not exposed and can be stored safely. |
