| Jean Neron coutellerie NERON [Jean*Neron] cutlery NERON company Made in FRANCE [Jean*Neron] was started in 1957 by founder Jean Neron in Thiers, a village of cutlery that boasts more than 500 years since the 16th century. Located in the Auvergne region in central France, [Laguiole] is the name of a village, located south of Thiers. The name Laguiole is pronounced LAY-ohl, so the name Laguiole is the name of the product. The origin of the pronunciation of Laguiole comes from the people from Auvergne who established cafes in Paris and proudly used Laguiole knives.
