＜由来＞
黒檀・白檀・鉄刀木を唐木三大銘木と呼びます。
かつて中国（唐）を経由して日本に入ってきた高級材。
＜産地＞
本来東南アジアが主流産地でしたが、現在はアフリカが主流産地で茶と黒の縞黒檀が主流です。
真黒い黒黒檀の伐採の影響で近い将来には枯渇する貴重材です。
＜特徴＞
非常に重く硬い材で、加工は困難を極める。
耐久性に大変優れている。希少な木材であり、使い込むほどに艶が出てくる。
真っ黒の中に浮かぶ木目が美しい。
＜用途＞
家具・仏壇・楽器・ゴルフのクラブヘッドなど。
●アクリル樹脂
アクリル樹脂はプラスチックの中で最も耐久性に優れなおかつ美しい透明性を保った素材です。
耐衝撃性：ガラスの耐衝撃性の10倍から16倍を誇る。
耐候性：紫外線に強く10年から20年以上でも劣化しない。
透明性：ガラス以上の透明性を誇る。光の透過率はガラス92％、一方アクリル樹脂は93％。
電気絶縁性：高電圧に耐えられる素材で、絶縁性が高い。
温度適応力：−40℃から＋60℃まで耐えられる。
