Zelkova has been treated as the best hardwood in Japan since ancient times because of its strong and beautiful grain. It is a heavy and very hard wood, but not difficult to work. [Uses] Building material *Furniture material *Wadaiko (Japanese drums) *Building material especially for temples and shrines *Acrylic resin Acrylic resin is the most durable of all plastics, yet it retains its beautiful transparency. Impact resistance: 10 to 16 times more impact resistant than glass. Weather resistance: Resistant to ultraviolet rays and will not deteriorate for 10 to 20 years or more. Transparency: Boasts transparency superior to that of glass. Light transmittance is 92% that of glass. Acrylic resin, on the other hand, has a light transmission rate of 93%. Electrical insulation: The material can withstand high voltages and has high insulation properties. Temperature resistance: Can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +60°C. |

＜特徴＞
辺材は灰白色、心材は帯黄紅褐色。
ケヤキは強靭で狂いが少なく耐朽性にも優れ実用性の高い特徴を持ち、木目も力強く美しい事から古来より日本国内で最良の広葉樹として扱われてきました。
重硬で非常に硬い木材ですが加工は困難ではない。

アクリル樹脂はプラスチックの中で最も耐久性に優れなおかつ美しい透明性を保った素材です。
耐衝撃性：ガラスの耐衝撃性の10倍から16倍を誇る。
耐候性：紫外線に強く10年から20年以上でも劣化しない。
透明性：ガラス以上の透明性を誇る。光の透過率はガラス92％、
一方アクリル樹脂は93％。
電気絶縁性：高電圧に耐えられる素材で、絶縁性が高い。
温度適応力：−40℃から＋60℃まで耐えられる。
