| Teak is a kind of tall tree belonging to the teak genus of the family Cyperaceae, and is a high-grade wood that is also known as one of the three most famous woods in the world. It has a smooth surface due to its oil content, and is highly resistant to water and durable. In the 20th century, Scandinavian furniture designers used teak for chairs, chests, and other items, and it is probably more commonly seen in Scandinavian and mid-century furniture today. [Teak Frame 2L] is a frame with a calming, antique-like wood texture. The frame is beveled at an acute angle to give it a sophisticated atmosphere, but its simplicity allows the photos and postcards placed inside to stand out. The surface is made of transparent acrylic board. Light and easy to handle, it can be used in places where heavy frames cannot be placed. It can be placed on a chest and propped up on a wall or displayed on a wall. Since it is 2L size, it can fit larger developed photos, etc. It comes with a sketch that looks like a botanical drawing from an old illustrated book, so it looks great displayed as is. 古くは寺院や船舶など巨大な建造物に使用されて来ましたが、20世紀に入り北欧の家具デザイナーたちが椅子やチェストなどにチーク材を使用したことから、現代の私たちにとっては「北欧やミッドセンチュリーの家具でよく見かける木材」というイメージの方が強いかもしれません。
[チークフレーム 2L]は、木の質感がまるでアンティークのような落ち着きがあるフレームです。
フレーム部分が鋭角に面取り加工され洗練された雰囲気を持っていますが、シンプルなので中に入れる写真やポストカードが引き立ちます。
表面は透明アクリルボード。軽くて扱いやすく、重いフレームを置く事ができない場所にも使用できます。
チェストの上に置いて壁に立てかけたり、壁に飾ったり。
2Lサイズなので、大きめに現像した写真などが収まります。古い図鑑に載っていた植物画のようなスケッチが付属していますので、そのまま飾っても素敵ですね。水に強いウレタン塗装は、マット仕上げなので独特のチープ感がなく、天然木の家具やフローリングのお部屋にもしっくりと馴染みそうです。
