[The Birth of Shigaraki Ware Tanuki
The first person who started making tanuki ornaments was Tetsuzo Fujiwara, the first generation of Tetsuzo Fujiwara, who founded Raccoon Ann in the early Meiji period.

One moonlit night, when Tetsuzo was young and training at a Kiyomizu-yaki pottery in Kyoto*, he heard the sound of tanuki drumming on the banks of the Otowa River.
