| Stitching has long been used as a durable material for dojis and samue (Japanese work clothes). We have sublimated this Japanese-inspired material into smart ankle pants. The deep indigo hue has a deep appeal similar to indigo denim. Although it is not done so often nowadays, people used to wear everyday clothes for a long time by carefully piecing them together. Such clothes were called "rag clothes," which is a corruption of the word "rag. Nowadays, the unique randomness and patterns produced by this "wasteful culture" are being reevaluated as having artistic value similar to vintage denim. These pants are made of highly durable sashiko, which is also used for street clothes. We named them ["BORO" ankle pants] with the hope that you will wear them until they become "BORO". The dark indigo color will fade and become familiar with your legs as you use them, just like denim pants, so you can develop these pants into your own original pair. |

今ではあまりやらなくなってしまいましたが、昔は普段着を大切に継ぎ接ぎしながら長く着用してきました。そういった衣類のことを、ボロボロから転じて「ボロ着」と呼んでいました。
昨今では、その「勿体無い文化」が産んだ特有のランダム感や模様が、ヴィンテージデニムに通じる美術的価値があるものとして見直されてきております。
道着にも使われる非常に耐久性の高い刺子を使用したこのパンツ。是非"BORO"になるまで着倒して頂きたいという願いを込めて『"BORO"アンクルパンツ』と名づけました。
色濃く残ったインディゴはデニムパンツと同じように使い込む毎に足に馴染み、薄れていくので、自分だけのオリジナルの1本に育てていけるパンツです。
