Description
Ruri (lapis lazuli) is a bright blue color with a dark purplish tinge. [Ruri is one of the seven treasures of Buddhism. The color lapis lazuli, named after the color of the jewel, was also considered sacred as a supreme color. The transparent hue is reminiscent of the quiet and fantastic deep sea. In the Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter) written in the early Heian period (794-1185), lapis lazuli was considered a precious mineral, as described in the following passage: "Gold, white gold, and water of the color of lapis lazuli flow out from the mountain. The Western name for lapis lazuli is lapis lazuli, and its luster and bright, deep blue color attracts the viewer as if it has a mysterious power. The size can hold two bowls of rice, so it can be used for various purposes from bowls of rice to pasta. Ramen noodles and curry also look stylish, and a wide variety of dishes from Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisine can be served with this dish. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, is the town of Setomono. Each dish is carefully fired by the craftsmen of Mugiyama Kiln, which has been in business since 1922. To strengthen the clay, the maximum temperature is raised to 1,320°C to burn off impurities remaining in the clay. Weak pieces will crack, but only those that remain are used as products. With the experience and techniques that have been developed since the Taisho era (1912-1926), we spare no pains and put our hearts into making durable vessels that can be used for a long time. [Surface] [The surface of the bowl has an uneven surface as if it were carved out of stone using a technique called "Ishime". [Backside] It is stamped with the Mugiyama Kiln mark. To prevent the glaze from baking onto the shelf, there is an unglazed area on the back side. *Because of the handmade nature of this product, there may be unevenness or variations in coloring. Please understand that we will deliver a product as close to the picture as possible. Microwave OK Oven OK Dishwasher OK |
