本書の特徴として、著者が、このために描き下ろしマンガを1本制作。その工程を“マンガ制作の参考書”のために惜しみなく公開しています。
描き方（デッサン）やキャラ設定を教えるだけでなく、メカニックの考え方やパースを含めた背景レイアウトの描き方、ネームやペン入れで一番に大切なこと、さらにカラー彩色のコツまでをレクチャー。
