Description
| Edo chiyogami originated as paper used at court in ancient times to write tanka poems, etc., on which patterns were applied, and was widely introduced to the general public along with Edo culture. The motifs of the patterns are from traditional costumes, flower, bird, wind, and moon, and customs such as kabuki, and the designs are characterized by "iki" (stylish) and "pun" (fashionable), reflecting the tastes of the common people of Edo. Using such traditional Edo chiyogami, we have created Washi accessories that can be easily adapted to modern styles. In order to maintain its beautiful shape, it is coated with resin while retaining the texture of the paper, so it is water resistant and can be used for daily use with peace of mind. The small, delicate origami cranes are carefully woven one by one by Japanese craftsmen to create this heartfelt accessory. It is recommended not only for daily use, but also for matching with Japanese kimonos and yukata (summer kimono). *Please download and utilize the promotional POP here. https://www.superdelivery.com/retaildata/dealerpop/001/001/113/0000016122.pdf |
