In order to avoid changes in texture due to painting, we do not paint our products, but polish them by hand for the final finish. Please enjoy the highest quality texture. *We use a hardener that conforms to the Food Sanitation Law. This expensive hardener is used for wooden bowls and plates and fills conduits to inhibit wood movement. It conforms to the Food Sanitation Law, which is safe to put in the mouth, so you can use it as a human-friendly wooden product. *What is natural wood/solid wood shaving? All of our products are made by shaving wooden boards. We insist on natural wood products without painting because you can feel the gradual change in color and texture of the wood as you use it.
