His brother is a representative painter of the Rimpa school [Ogata Korin], and Kenzan is also counted as one of the Rimpa school. Chrysanthemums", one of Korin's representative works, is characterized by its bold use of Rimpa school designs and bold painting from the "wabi*sabi" style of ink painting. This beautifully patterned handkerchief is made of an absorbent vertical and horizontal slub material.
