Art Gallery Gauze handkerchief Sachiko Takahashi [Sachi Kobo:Hanafuda]. This large-sized handkerchief can be used not only as a handkerchief, but also as a bandana around the neck, or to wrap a lunch box, etc. It can be used for a variety of purposes. The gauze material is soft to the touch and absorbs water well. Made in Japan. Sachiko Takahashi: Woodblock print artist (Kokoro no Hangaisha) Born in Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1941 Born as the eldest daughter of the late Eikichi Takahashi, who was called a genius of wood engraving in the engraving world. Self-taught from the designs and works of her father, who was killed in action at the young age of 31, she created her own unique style. The nature of Zushi*Kamakura, fairy tales, fables, the Bible, and other familiar objects become her works of art, and her pictures and words gently reach the viewer's heart. [Hanafuda] Hanafuda (Japanese playing cards) depicting the four seasons of Japan during the twelve months of the year. A total of 48 Hanafuda prints by Ono Dofu and others are depicted on the lovely "Inoshika Butterfly". |
