These are created when the glass flows during heat treatment after being cut from the blowpipe, and they are a distinctive feature of blown glass. リューズガラス製品は一つひとつが職人たちの手によるハンドメイド。
炉（ろ）で溶かしたガラスを竿（さお）ですくい取り、型の中で息を吹き込みながら作る「型吹き成形」という技法で、たとえ同じ型のシリーズであっても、全く同じ仕上がりになるということはありません。
ガラスの流れや小さな気泡、口の部分に盛り上がった箇所などがあったりしますが、これは吹き竿からガラスをカットした後、熱処理した時にガラスが流れてできるもので、これもまた吹きガラスの特徴です。
ハンドメイドならではの、ガラス表面に生まれるわずかな“しわ”や小さな気泡、繊細な表情の違いなどをお楽しみください。
