Description
| Although it appears to be monochromatic, a closer look at the fabric reveals that it is made in a variety of colors. Also, the subtle lack of symmetry in the depiction is a touch that only hand-drawing can bring out. The reverse side is made of plain fabric. [Brother Rabbit" was created by William Morris in the spring of 1881. The design was inspired by Brer Rabbit, a fictional rabbit from Uncle Remus's fairy tales of the American South. In reading the book to his daughters, Jenny and Mae, Morris created a design that represents the book's characters in a stylish presentation.
