Description
| KYOTO BLUE Flower-dyed linen handkerchief, botanical dye [dewdrops]. Botanical Dye Botanical dye" is the origin of the Japanese craftsmanship, which focuses on dyeing. Natural dyes have been loved and used by people for 5,000 years. Botanical dye is a new technique that combines a small amount of chemical dyes and increases colorfastness without the use of mordants in order to create fabrics with the energy, messages, and color power that plants originally possess. Dewdrops Colors extracted from dewdrops were used as underdrawings for dyed goods because they are difficult to dye. Tsuyukusa (ancient name: tsuyukusa (moonflower)) has been familiar to the Japanese since ancient times and is often mentioned in the Manyoshu (Anthology of Myriad Leaves). |
