Description
*One of the traditional crafts of Kamo City, Niigata Prefecture, known as "Little Kyoto" in the Hokuetsu region, is the folding screen. It is made by hand with an electric saw, utilizing the openwork carving technique of Byobu and Ranma. The ornaments are made by hand with an electric saw, utilizing the techniques of openwork carving of folding screens and transom panels. *The tiger and its parents are 120mm high and 130mm wide, and are named after the Chinese zodiac sign for the new year (2022), the Year of the Tiger. The parent tiger is over 120mm high and 130mm wide, and the two cub tigers are lined up in a friendly manner, in contrast to the wriggling and barking parent tiger. The parent body is inlaid with the two cub tigers, which are lined up in a friendly manner. *The grain of the paulownia wood is used in the kumiki-zaiku, matching the tiger pattern. *Tiger motifs have always been popular regardless of the Chinese zodiac. We wish for a different year from 2021, which was highlighted by the recession. *Two pedestals are included in the set, so you can arrange the kumiki as you like. |
