Description
Tendo Woodworks/Butterfly Stool Butterfly stool is the most recognized chair in the world by Sori Yanagi as a Japanese designer! As the name suggests, the seat rises up so that it flows smoothly at both ends, like a butterfly spreading its wings, making it very elegant. It is also sometimes said to be an Asian expression, reminding one of a shrine's torii gate. The simple structure of two boards joined symmetrically is a form that Yanagi Sori's "hand" naturally created while he was tinkering with the materials. |
