Since ancient times, guardian Buddhas have been familiar to people as protective deities for good luck and protection from bad luck. 守護仏と梵字を組み合わせた「護符ブレス」
守護仏は古来より、開運や厄除けなどの守り本尊として人々に親しまれてきました。十二方位にはそこを守る八体の守護仏がいるといわれています。この十二方位と十二支（干支）が結びついて守護仏が定められています。
梵字とは仏教、とくに密教と密接な結びつきがあり、古代サンスクリット語の基礎にもなっている文字で、各仏菩薩たちをあらわしています。そして『生まれ年（干支）』によって決まる『守護尊』をあらわしたものを守護梵字といいます。この8種類の梵字にはそれぞれ1文字で御仏の功徳をあらわすとされ、干支の守り本尊とされています。
