*Reduced folding screen [National Treasure: Cypress painting] by Kano Eitoku*.

By Kano Eitoku, Momoyama period, Tokyo National Museum

In conjunction with the major restoration of the original, the reduced-size folding screen has been renewed and rearranged from one eight-fold screen to one four-fold screen.

The new screens are closer to the way the fusuma paintings looked when they were painted on the fusuma doors, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of these masterpieces from the last years of Kano Eitoku's life.
