Utamaro Kitagawa Born in an unknown place between 1753 and 1806. He learned painting at an early age and attracted attention for his sketch paintings, later gaining popularity for his paintings of beautiful women. [He produced excellent portraits of women by depicting the minute changes in their facial expressions in the form of "large neck paintings. His representative works are [Shisensen Koinobu] and [Fujin Sogaku Jubutai]. |

喜多川歌麿（きたがわ うたまろ）
宝暦3〜文化3年（1753〜1806）、出身地未詳。幼少から絵を学び写生画で注目され、のち美人画で人気を博す。「大首絵」という形式で女性の表情の微細な変化を描きとり、肖像としても優れた作品を生み出した。代表作は『詩撰恋之部』『婦人相学十躰』。
