| *Fan Ho[Selected Works]Mini Portfolio*. Fan Ho (1931-2016) moved to Hong Kong from Shanghai in 1949 and has been photographing the city ever since. After World War II, Hong Kong became a British colony and achieved remarkable economic development, but Ho's photographs capture the cityscape of that time and the daily lives of its people. These nostalgic images have a unique texture and melancholy reminiscent of the legendary Czech photographer Josef Sudejc. This portfolio was made possible by the Fan*Ho Foundation and Blue Lotus Gallery in Hong Kong. What is *Colotype*? While offset printing, a common printing method, expresses color and shading with a density of small dots, collotype expresses them in continuous tones, thus enabling the reproduction of fine details that are closer to the real thing, as in a photograph. The *Mini Portfolio Series is a series that focuses on size and set contents so that users can easily enjoy photographic works with the expressive power that only Collotype can offer. Each set contains 8 x 10" sheets of collotype prints, which can be held in your hands one at a time to admire, or framed to add to your home décor. Also recommended for #inbound. |
