| This is a set of two Kutani Yaki teacups. With their beautiful color painting and high quality made possible by traditional techniques, these teacups are suitable for a wide range of uses, from daily use to special occasions. They are very popular as gifts for wedding celebrations, wedding anniversaries, ceramic and porcelain weddings, silver and gold weddings, etc. Japanese Traditional Crafts [Kutaniyaki] Teacups, Blue Grain Tessen (K9-752) [Aochibu-style] This technique became popular in the Taisho era (1912-1926). This is a sharkskin-like technique in which fine dots called "ao-grain" or "shiro-grain" are arranged on the ground color.
