Sparkling sake cup

The bright colors of traditional Kutaniyaki porcelain and the sparkling gold leaf on this eye-catching sake cup. The gold leaf on the inside is applied by hand, one by one. The painting is in the style of Kutani Yaki period paintings.

[Ko-Kutani" is a style of early Kutaniyaki painting. The bold and powerful lines, colors, and bold composition are the characteristics of this style.
[Kome] The style of Koya porcelain created by Aoki Kome, a master craftsman who was invited from Kyoto to revive Koya Kutani, which had once ceased to exist.
[Yoshidaya] A representative of the revived Kutani and a potter from the Edo period, Yoshidaya inherited the boldness and colors of Ko-Kutani while maintaining a somewhat refined style of painting.
[Hachiro (Hachiro-te): A master craftsman of the Edo period, Hachiroemon Iidaya was a great master of fine red enamel painting. His beautiful patterns of red and ultra-fine lines fascinate.
