| Generally, accessories called [silver] are made of silver. The numerical designation [925] refers to the silver content, which is 92.5% silver (i.e., pure silver). The remaining 7.5% is an alloy of other metals such as copper. Since 100% silver is very soft, it is not suitable for processing accessories. Therefore, in order to make silver strong enough to be used as an accessory, it is mixed with other metals to give it strength and form it into a product that can be used as an accessory.
