Description
How have plants been used as [medicinal] herbs? From the age of mythology to the current manga, anime, novels and movies, How have medicine men and herbalists been portrayed? This book explores the roots of the [healing] power of plants through the deep history of phytotherapy, people fascinated by plants, and rich stories from all ages and cultures. Aromatherapy, herbs, flower essences (floral therapy), forest therapy, horticultural therapy, gemotherapy, homeopathy, and other phytotherapies (phytotherapy) that heal our minds and bodies. The beginnings of phytotherapy date back to ancient times. In the past, phytotherapy was used as an embalming agent for mummies, protective clothing for the plague, as a tribute to the powerful, in religious ceremonies, for wartime cures, and as a prototype for essential oils from alchemy. Including Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, PART 1 describes various plant remedies, while PARTs 2 and 3 trace the history of medicinal plants in each region and the lives of 26 important people. The passion and activities of these people who devoted their lives to plants make for a fascinating read! In PART 4, we introduce works in which plants are symbolically depicted. The Bible and Grimm's Fairy Tales, Japanese classics such as Kojiki, Nihonshoki, Manyoshu, Pillow Book, Tale of Genji, foreign literature such as Proust and Chaucer, contemporary novels by Kaho Nashiki and Nahoko Uehashi, famous paintings by Manet, Degas, Lautrec and Van Gogh, hit manga such as [The Yakusha's Alone], [ Peter Rabbit], [Magical Garden Stories], [Gnomes], and other popular picture books are explained. Witches and mystical herbs] that often appear in stories are also discussed. The column "Reporting on France" is included. It reports on a farm in the south of France that continues to use traditional farming methods, essential oil manufacturers, the Lyon College of Botanical Therapy, and a bio-products trade fair in Paris [Majorene]. Recommended for those who like aromas, herbs, and other plants, witches and fantasy, those who want to learn about the world's herbal culture, and those who want to learn about plant medicine from unique angles such as stories and works of art. *Author Introduction Shino Nakamura Representative of aromatherapy school and salon [Noe Aroma] in Nishiogikubo, Tokyo*.
