With a length that covers the hips, it is useful as a finishing item for spring and summer outfits. Just by throwing it on, you can complete your fashionable look for the day! It is a very reassuring item. [Thoughts on Linen] The linen series was newly started last year. Among our customers who have a passion for natural materials, there were many who were looking forward to the comfort of [linen]. This series was finally realized thanks to the strong enthusiasm of the people of Kalatmak, India, our fair trade partner. This season, the series is now available in linen-cotton fabric. The crispness of linen is layered with the work feel of cotton, which is great for everyday use. [We recommend wearing it in a rough style.] This shawl-collar type jacket is a stylish piece with a relaxed feel. It has a simple design with no buttons, so try wearing it roughly and roughly. The sleeves are also made longer. We recommend folding back the cuffs for a cooler hand and a well-balanced finish. You can rely on this piece to protect you from the sun in midsummer or to protect you from air conditioning indoors. [Beautifully entwined hand-worked vines] The edges of both side pockets are subtly decorated with plants that resemble vines. Aromaan has 20 years of experience as a craftsman in his workshop. He told us that he grew up watching his father who was a craftsman. The number of craftsmen is decreasing year by year, and stamping is another craftsmanship that we would like to share with you through fair trade. It takes skill, sense, and patience cultivated over many years to carve out those delicate patterns from shisham (rosewood) wood. It is a pattern that can only be produced by human hands. The pattern created by someone hundreds of years ago has been handed down and passed on to the next generation, and remains today, We who live in the present day can still think of it as "beautiful". This quiet impression is like an important letter from the past to the present. [Linen that fits in better the more you use it.] This crisp fabric is woven with a 3.5 count cotton and linen. This spring/summer fabric is airy, highly absorbent and wicking, and does not cling to the skin. It is durable even after repeated washing, and you can enjoy the wrinkled feeling after washing. 「リネンに込めた思い」
昨年から新たにスタートしたリネン素材のシリーズ。
自然素材に思いを持ったお客様のなかでも、「リネン」の着心地を待ち望んでいる方が多くいらっしゃいました。
そんなたくさんの声が海を越えて、フェアトレードパートナーであるインド・Kalatmakの人々の強い熱意により、ようやく実現が叶ったシリーズです。
今季はリネンコットンの生地で登場。
リネンならではのシャリ感に、日常づかいに嬉しいコットンのワーク感を重ねました。
「ラフに着こなすのがおすすめ」
ショールカラータイプの羽織は、リラックス感をおしゃれに楽しむ一枚。
ボタンのないシンプルなデザインなので、ざっくりとラフに着こなしてみてください。
袖も長めにお作りしています。
袖口は折り返したほうが、手元が涼やかになり、バランスが良く仕上がっておすすめです。
真夏の日除けや室内のエアコン対策にも、この一枚に頼れそうです。
「手仕事のツルを美しく絡めて」
両脇ポケットの縁には、さりげなく蔓(ツル)をイメージした植物がほどこされています。
リネン生地に、インドの手刺繍の蔓が美しく絡まっている様子に、気分もほんのり高まります。
Kalatmakだからこその愛しいディテールです。
インド伝統のチカン刺繍を、村の女性たちがそれぞれの住居で、一針一針、丁寧に縫い上げました。
現地では、繊細な刺繍を施していくための下書きとして、木彫りのスタンプが使われています。
「"スタンプ"という手仕事」
今回のリネンシリーズの刺繍デザインは、インドのスタンプ職人がデザインしたものや、現地で伝承されてきた模様を採用しています。
職人歴20年のアロマーンさんの工房です。
職人だった父の背中を見て育ったと話してくれました。
年々職人が減ってきているスタンプの仕事もまた、私たちがフェアトレードを通してお伝えしたいものづくりです。
シシャム(ローズウッド)の木から、あの繊細な模様を掘り出していくには、長年培った技術やセンス、そして根気が必要です。
それは人の手でしか生み出せない模様だと思います。
何百年も昔に誰かが生み出した模様が、受け継がれ受け継がれ、今日に残り、
たった今を生きる私たちが変わらず「美しい」と思えること。
その静かな感動は、過去から今へと届いた大切な手紙のように感じます。

番手のコットンとリネンで織られたシャリ感のある生地。
風通しがよく、吸水性と発散性にすぐれた、肌にまとわり付きにくい春夏の生地。
