Description
The second installment of the popular series! One day during summer vacation, a secret is born that no one can tell. Six "special summers" are spent by the children of Mystery Hill Elementary School. This is a series of children's novels written from the viewpoints of first graders through sixth graders. *First Grader [The Day the Dolphin Flew Away] Chinatsu, who is confronted with her inability to swim, meets an "invisible dolphin. *Second grade [Summer *Time Capsule *Blues]: A sacred tree at Makoto's mother's school turns a dream into reality. *Third Grade [Do Elementary School Students Dream of Giant Beetles?] A larva that Kenta catches grows into an unprecedented giant beetle! *Fourth Grader [The Return of Ayako the Brave] Ayako and her family go camping and get lost in a town sunk in a lake. *Fifth Grader [Star*Children] What will happen to Junki and her friends when they are informed of the future of the earth on a space station 150 years later? *Sixth Grader [Anytime, Any Day] Yuri is somewhat unable to accept the loss of her father. One day, a memorable song comes on the radio... Crying, laughing, and being scared. And then, the summer when you grow up a little bit. Both children and adults will surely want to overlap their own summers. This is a memorable story of a summer to be read with the family. [Comment from the Editor] This book brings back the summers of my childhood. The stories are full of small adventures, emotional turmoil, and secrets that no one could tell. Every story has a moment that will surely overlap with the reader's own memories. For children, it is the summer of today, and for adults, it is the summer of those days. This is a series of novels that will make you feel a little tender after you finish reading them. About the Author Author: Takashi Kanda Born in Otaru City, Hokkaido in 1960. Formerly an elementary school teacher. After working as a teacher, he created stories rooted in children and the community.
