Contains 20 sheets (size: 205mm × 175mm) Search Keywords: Kaishi, Large Size, Washi, Echizen Washi, Tea Ceremony, Japanese Dining, Table Liner, Letters, Notes, Coasters, Gift Envelopes, Adults, Gifts [What is Kaishi?] Kaishi is versatile, serving not only in the tea ceremony but also in daily life and when entertaining guests. Its appeal lies in its practicality—a single sheet can be used for “writing, wiping, and wrapping,” such as for notes, serving sweets, or wrapping bills. In recent years, it has gained popularity as a traditional Japanese accessory and is highly recommended for gift-giving and inbound tourism. It is easy to recommend to both men and women and can be displayed across a wide range of sales areas as an item that evokes seasonal charm and the allure of Japanese culture. [About Tsuji Shoten] Founded in Meiji 43. Starting with the sale of imported pulp, we have handled base paper for the gold and silver threads used in kimonos and obi sashes. In 2007, we launched our original brand, [Tsujitoku], and began planning, manufacturing, and selling kaishi. We promote the appeal of kaishi not only for tea ceremonies but also for everyday use. Drawing on creative ideas that transcend the traditional boundaries of kaishi, we are also developing items that anyone can use, such as paper diffusers and pleated paper plates. Furthermore, we have transformed the base paper for gold and silver threads—which we have traditionally handled—into yarn and reimagined it as hand-woven paper fabric. We are also focusing our efforts on creating products that make the most of this paper fabric, such as bags and accessories. |
