| Korin Kiln owner Sanko Ezoe, who inherited the hand-painted techniques of Hizen porcelain culture represented by Arita-yaki and Hasami-yaki, was born in 1941. 15 years old, he joined a Hasami-yaki kiln and became a painter. 45 years old, he opened his own kiln. He started his career as a potter at the age of 15 at Hasami-yaki pottery and opened Korin Kiln at the age of 45. He has a reputation for his high technical skill, having trained at Kiyomizu-yaki and Seto-yaki potteries. He continues to work enthusiastically in the kiln every day, and at the same time, he uses his evening hours to teach young technicians, and many of his students are supporting the succession of the technique of painting not only in Arita and Hasami, but at potteries all over Japan. Korin Kiln's pottery is used in various ryotei (Japanese-style restaurants), and is also favored by professional chefs. Because of their high quality, orders come in from all over Japan.
