Description
| This is a handwoven wool kilim currently being produced in Afghanistan. Gray wool is used for the warp, and the top and bottom fringes are carefully wrapped with colorful threads. No dyes are used; only the natural colors of the wool are combined to weave geometric motifs. As shown in the photo, if the floor color is in the same color family as the kilim and there is no contrast, it creates a subdued impression. On flooring such as dark brown or light natural wood, it will stand out a bit more and serve as an accent.
