Description
| These are gift envelopes featuring a black cat. The set includes three colors—red, blue, and orange—in a playful design. This is part of the “Jūnyashi” series—a zodiac series featuring only cats—proposed by Maruta Marie. The cat of the zodiac for 2026 is a black cat. These envelopes are perfect not only as auspicious New Year’s gifts—such as New Year’s money or celebratory presents—but also for small everyday tokens of appreciation or gratitude. Additionally, if you look closely, you’ll notice the word “neko” (cat) is written instead of “noshi”—a subtle detail that cat lovers will find irresistible. For the printing, we’ve used “stencil printing,” which offers a charming texture reminiscent of screen printing and printmaking. Random misalignments, color variations, and faint marks add character, resulting in a finish with a nostalgic, retro feel. It’s also recommended as a small gift for cat lovers. |
