Description
| Kutani-yaki, a traditional craft recognized by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, celebrates 360 years since the opening of the Kutani kiln. Kutani-yaki was exhibited at the Paris World Exposition and became famous throughout the world as Japan*Kutani, and has been collected by famous museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Louvre. Handmade hand-dyed wall vase with a single flower. The indigo coloring is simple yet modern. [Somezuke" is also called Chinese "blue-and-white" and refers to the technique of dissolving cobalt-based pigment, gozu, in water, drawing designs on porcelain, glazing, and firing. Since the dyeing method involves painting directly on unglazed porcelain, it is no exaggeration to say that the vigor of the brush and the skill of the artisan's brushwork determine the quality of the design. The camellia pattern, a flower that blooms from winter to spring, is not so heavy as to be heavy, but handmade ceramics absorb more water than porcelain, so it is characterized by its thicker thickness. This straw ash glaze is a characteristic glaze that expresses apology everywhere. This texture gives a sense of attachment and security. Nail holes are provided on the back so that it can be hung on the wall. |
