| Kutani-yaki, a traditional craft recognized by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, celebrates 360 years since the opening of the Kutani kiln. Kutani-yaki was exhibited at the Paris World Exposition and became famous throughout the world as Japan*Kutani, and has been collected by famous museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Louvre. This shochu server is wheel-thrown by Sakai Shuzen, a traditional craftsman of the Kutani Wagama kiln. Enjoy the handmade curves and the simple taste of the underglaze blue coloring. * The metal fittings of the spout can be removed for cleaning. (The bolt can be removed for cleaning.) When you remove it, please check if there is any water leakage by filling it up with water overnight. |
