Description
Designed by designer Satoshi Umeno, this glassware is based on the motif of [kimono], an original Japanese garment. The obi (sash) is expressed on ultra-thin Edo glass using the Edo faceting and sandblasting techniques. The glass expresses the Japanese sense of beauty in a simple design. The series is available in three types: Hakama (traditional Japanese male dress), Tabi (Japanese socks), and Obi (sash). The glasses come in a wooden box, making them ideal for gift-giving. Satoshi Umeno Established UMENODESIGN in 2003. As a freelance designer, he has produced and branded a variety of products, focusing on product design. Currently based in Tokyo, he continues to provide total design support in a wide range of fields including interior, web, graphic, and package design. |
