Description
| *LETTERPRESS CARD (Letterpress) Letterpress is a traditional printing technique that uses a letterpress plate to print by applying pressure to paper. This technique was widely used before the current mass production and efficiency of offset and digital printing. Recently, the unique texture of letterpress printing (especially the beauty of the indentations and text outlines created by applying pressure to the paper) is being reevaluated, and special printed materials such as greeting cards, invitations, and business cards are becoming popular, especially among young people in North America and Europe, as new design* letterpress printing studios are starting up. Yamamoto Shigyo paid attention to letterpress printing from early on and introduced a Heidelberg Windmill machine manufactured in the 1950s to master the technique. Contrary to the rugged and heroic atmosphere of a locomotive without a liquid crystal display or computer, the printed materials produced by this press are delicate and lovely, with a unique texture and feel that evokes a sense of nostalgia. Yamamoto Shigyo's Letterpress Cards have attracted attention from overseas and are now being shipped widely throughout the world. These originally designed, unique cards are sure to be appreciated when used to send congratulations or personalized messages. *TYPOGRAPHY Series A birthday card with a slightly mature atmosphere, letterpress printed in two colors on gray chipboard. The unevenness of the stamped surface adds a nostalgic touch. |
