Description
| This is an overlay with a water-repellent finish on both sides of the rush grass fabric (however, it does not repel water above 40°C, such as hot water*tea*coffee, etc.). You can refresh your Tatami room just by laying the overlay. Please use it as a cover to refresh tatami that has been sunburned and to prevent new tatami from getting dirty. General rush mats need to be wiped dry before use, but this product does not need to be wiped dry because it is coated with a water-repellent coating after being dyed with mud on top of the fabric. You can use the product as it is after unrolling it. Both the front and back sides of the fabric are coated with a water-repellent finish, making it reversible and economical for use on both sides. This product uses rush that is about 105-110 cm long. About 88 cm of it is used. The edges of the rushes have a certain amount of whiteness (not tanning). (This is not tanning. It is the color of the base and the tip of the rushes.) The longer the rushes are, the higher the quality. Rushes are reddish brown at the tip, white at the base, and blue (green) in the middle. The more of the good blue part in the middle is used, the stronger and more beautiful the finish will be. Rigusa has the characteristics of purifying the air, regulating humidity, and being stain resistant. Hiba essence, extracted from hiba trees in Aomori Prefecture, is processed on the surface of the fabric using the manufacturer's proprietary technology. Hiba essence contains hinokitiol, a natural substance with extremely high antibacterial properties. (It has antibacterial and deodorant effects compared to untreated products.) *Because it is a natural material and craftsmen process each item by hand, there may be variations in shape and the size may differ slightly from the size shown on the label. *Due to the process of water-repellent treatment, the rushes have a slight reddish tint.
