Description
About Talchow The Tibetan prayer flag consists of five colors. The order of the colors is blue*white*red*green*yellow, and each color represents the five elements that are believed to make up the world: sky*wind*fire*water*earth. The flag with a horse on it is also called a lunta (wind horse flag), and is said to express the wish that the Dharma will spread with the wind. The flags with sutras on them are said to mean that each time the flag flutters in the wind, a sutra is chanted. Malaika's tulchos are made of Nepalese polyester fabric and each has a sutra and a wind horse or Amitabha (Amitabha) drawn on it by woodblock printing. They are made of 10 flags in two rows of blue to yellow. If you would like to order more than we have in stock, please contact us by e-mail. |
