Since it is a lump of glass, it is very heavy and has a strong presence for a New Year's decoration! *About Kagamimochi Kagamimochi for New Year's Day has been handed down as an offering to the gods and Buddha. The way it is decorated and its meaning varies from region to region and period to period, but with recent lifestyle changes, the ritualistic Kagamimochi has come to be accepted as interior decoration, and now Kagamimochi made of various materials are available. YUGEN GLASS hopes that by creating kagamimochi made of transparent glass, a material that perceives "light," people will be able to enjoy the New Year in a bright and joyful way. For this purpose, we mold it as a solid piece of glass that contains light, which gives it a solid and stable appearance and a soft roundedness that signifies family happiness. The white color is expressed by using air bubbles that remind one of water, with the desire to keep the product fresh and healthy. The red cloth is meant to keep bad things out of the house. It will not get moldy (laugh), so we hope you will use it for many generations to come. *Because each piece is hand-blown, there may be slight differences in size and bubbles. Glass is not heat resistant. *Please be careful where the glass is exposed to direct sunlight as there is a risk of astringent fire! *About storage. Glass is easily broken if scratched. When stacking them, place a piece of paper between them. If the glass is not washed for a long period of time, it may become difficult to remove stains or become cloudy. Please wash as needed. |
