The earliest delivery date will be after January 2024. Kagamimochi have been used as offerings to the gods and Buddha for the New Year. The way it is decorated and its meaning vary from region to region and period to period, but with the change in lifestyle in recent years, the ritualistic Kagamimochi has come to be accepted as interior decoration, and now Kagamimochi made of various materials have been introduced. This has been further developed into a version in which the orange has evolved into a strawberry. YUGEN GLASS hopes that by creating Kagamimochi made of transparent glass, a material that perceives "light," people will be able to enjoy the New Year in a bright and joyful way. To achieve this, the glass is molded as a solid piece of glass that contains light, resulting in a solid and stable piece of glass with a soft roundness that signifies family happiness. The white color is expressed with watery air bubbles to keep the product fresh and healthy forever. The name "Ichigo" (strawberry) is also used to express our wish to cherish "Ichigo-Ichie" (a meeting once in a lifetime). We hope you will use it for a long time from generation to generation because it will not get moldy. *Because each piece is hand-blown, there may be slight differences in size or bubbles. Glass is not heat resistant. *Please be careful where the glass is exposed to direct sunlight as there is a risk of astringent fire! *About storage. Glass is easily broken if scratched. When stacking them, place a piece of paper between them. If the glass is not washed for a long period of time, it may become difficult to remove stains or become cloudy. Please wash as needed. |
