| This is a collection of works by Shunsuke Satake, an illustrator active in the field of cute character illustrations with pop, graphical, and retro tastes. Satake, who lives in Kobe, is active in a wide range of genres, including visuals for advertisements* and books, characters for childcare and early childhood education, package design, and the development of sundry goods*. On the other hand, he is also active in presenting his work in exhibitions, and has held a total of 30 solo exhibitions to date. When schools were closed to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, he was one of the first to offer his artwork as a free downloadable coloring book. When the plague-sealing plague god [Amabie] spread on the Internet, he drew and posted his own Amabie, which was also picked up by the media. This lightness of footwork is also one of his charms and the driving force behind his many commissions.
