Description
This wool cushion cover is made from Jacquard woven fabric. Andaid Plus' original and fun city atmosphere was designed and produced in Nepal using hand-woven jacquard weave. Hand-woven jacquard is difficult and requires skilled techniques, as the pattern stretches and shrinks depending on the amount of force applied. The handmade cloth has the warmth and gentle taste of human weaving. The use of undyed wool gives the cloth a subtle shade that is gentle and never boring. There are four types: brown on white, white on brown, white on gray, and gray pattern on white. The jacquard is woven on both sides, so it can be reversed to produce two patterns: one with a pattern on a white background and the other with a white pattern on a colored background. A large size (45 x 45 cm) is also available. Jacquard weave is woven on a [loom] developed by Joseph *Marie *Jacquard of France in 1806. The design itself is woven into the fabric, rather than the pattern being printed on top of the fabric. A punch card (mon-gami), a thick sheet of paper with holes punched in it, is made according to the design, and the fabric is woven according to the instructions. This technique is characterized by its natural three-dimensionality and luxurious feel. By weaving alternately with two different colors of warp and weft yarns, complex patterns can be reproduced. This product is hand-woven in Nepal on a Jacquard loom. |
