Description
Undyed Plus original knee blanket. It is made in Japan using undyed wool, the origin of Undyed Plus, with Katsuji Wakisaka's design woven into it. Please feel the gentle touch of the high quality wool that skilled craftsmen spent a lot of time and effort to produce. A tote bag with each design is also included, making it a perfect winter gift for birthdays and other occasions. Only [Hana Tsunagi] is also available in a single size (150 x 200 cm). *About Izumiotsu, the place of production Izumiotsu is the largest producer of blankets in Japan, but in recent years, inexpensive blankets made in China have appeared on the market, and the amount of imported blankets has exceeded the amount of domestic production in Japan. In such a situation, we asked Izumiotsu to produce this product in order to preserve the technique of high-quality Japanese blankets as much as possible. Woven blankets made in Izumiotsu City are produced by skilled craftsmen who use their experience in all processes, from making the mold for the design necessary for Jacquard weaving, called monshi, to weaving, washing, raising, and finishing. When you hold a woven blanket in your hand, you can feel the quality of the handiwork that has been carefully produced one by one through the fluffy fabric and its soft texture. *About the design We asked Mr. Katsuji Wakisaka, who also designs Andide Plus rugs, to design this rug. Mr. Wakisaka, who was active as a designer at Marimekko, has a warm, honest, and comforting design with a refined Scandinavian feel. [We produced two types of designs, "Mosaic Street" and "Flower Connection". Katsuji Wakisaka Biography Born in Kyoto in 1944, Wakisaka moved to Finland in 1968 and worked for MARIMEKKO, JACK LENOR LARSEN in New York, and Wacoal Interior Fabrics, and since 1996 has created works in a wide range of expressions including pottery, painting, cloth, and picture books. Currently, he is focusing on his work for SOU-SOU. *About the material Undyed wool is used. undyed+ is a brand that was born out of a fascination with the advantages of undyed colors. The soft colors nurtured by nature have a beauty that cannot be produced artificially and a charm that is somehow calming. This Jacquard weave blanket was also produced without dyeing, which is the origin of undyed+. Wool blankets are made not only to retain heat, but actually have excellent moisture release properties. People sweat a lot even in the coldest winter, and it has the effect of dissipating that moisture, so it keeps you warm but not stuffy. The texture of the fine wool feels good on the skin and is so comfortable that you will want to touch it forever. In addition, because it is carefully woven with Jacquard weave rather than printed, it can be used for a long time without color fading or fading. |

*Daily care
If you are worried about hair pilling, please cut it with scissors. Brushing along the fur will remove dust and give it a smooth texture. *Washing Instructions We recommend dry cleaning, but if washing by hand at home, add a small amount of wool detergent to water, wash lightly without rubbing, shape, and hang dry in the shade. Excessive use of detergent will remove too much oil from the fabric and reduce its softness. *Storage Dry cleaning is recommended before storing for a long period of time, such as during seasonal changes. When storing, be sure to mothproof the garment. |
