Description
| Originally designed and produced in Nepal using hand-spun, dye-free wool, nettle and other materials. The entire process, from fiber extraction to spinning, weaving, and finishing, is done by hand. Spinning and weaving by hand results in rugs that are less damaged and more resilient to friction. The naturally formed thickness and subtle shades of color are gentle and easy to match with any interior. We propose rugs with the theme of making the entrance, the face of your home, stylish and comfortable. Mr. Katsuji Wakisaka, former textile designer of Marimekko in Scandinavia, participated in the design. Introduction of the Designer0 Katsuji Wakisaka Textile Designer 1944 Born in Kyoto City, Japan. After working for Marimekko in Finland and Jack*Lenore*Larsen in New York, he is currently based in Kyoto as a designer for SOU SOU. |

オリジナルデザインで手紡ぎの無染色のウール、イラクサなどの素材を使用し、ネパールにて製作しています。繊維の採取、紡ぎ、織、仕上げ、全工程を人の手で仕上げられています。人の手で紡ぎ織ることによってダメージが少なく、摩擦に強い弾力性に富んだラグが仕上がります。自然にできる太細、微妙な色の濃淡がやさしくどんなインテリアにも合わせやすいです。お家の顔であるお玄関をおしゃれに心地よくをテーマにラグを提案していきます。デザインは北欧のマリメッコの元テキスタイルデザイナー脇阪克二さんに参加していただきました。

脇阪 克二 テキスタイルデザイナー 1944年 京都市生まれ。
フィンランドのマリメッコ社、ニューヨークのジャック・レノア・ラーセン社などを経て、現在は京都を拠点にSOU SOUのデザイナーとして活躍中。
