そしてスライドの曲げ伸ばしで、金管楽器では
唯一グリッサンドができるトロンボーンの面白さに
たちまち夢中になりました。
みなさんの中にも、実はこれがやりたくて
トロンボーンを始めたという方は多いのではないでしょうか…。トロンボーンは、もともと教会音楽の合唱曲の伴奏楽器として
発展してきたという歴史を持ち、その最大の魅力は
「神の楽器」とも称されるハーモニーの美しさと心地よさにあります。
声のように甘く歌ったり、大きな音で重厚な響きを出したり、
その表現力の多彩さはまさに無限といってもよいでしょう。
3本または4本の音が集まり、
倍音の豊かな響きに包まれた時の幸福感!
「トロンボーンを吹いていて本当に良かった」と
心から実感する瞬間です。トロンボーンは吹奏楽ではもちろんですが、
オーケストラ作品でも大活躍します。
ストラヴィンスキー作曲「火の鳥」、
レスピーギ作曲「ローマの祭」、ラヴェル作曲「ボレロ」
……など、いろいろな作曲家がトロンボーンの音色と

聴いている人に自分の想いが伝わるような演奏をすることはできません。
