Description
| Kutani-yaki, a traditional craft recognized by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, celebrates 360 years since the opening of the Kutani kiln. Kutani-yaki was exhibited at the Paris World Exposition and became famous throughout the world as Japan*Kutani, and has been collected by famous museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Louvre. The overglaze enamels and the box were all painted by hand by Takeru, an overglaze enamels craftsman, on the base material handmade in Kutani Wa-gama. The box can be used for decoration or as a container for small items, and is sure to be very useful. |
