| Kutani-yaki, a traditional craft recognized by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, celebrates 360 years since the opening of the Kutani kiln. Kutani-yaki was exhibited at the Paris World Exposition and became famous throughout the world as Japan*Kutani, and has been collected by famous museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Louvre. *Features These three types of sake cups allow you to enjoy the changes in taste (aroma) due to their different shapes. We hope you will find your favorite flavor in the sake cups just like tasting sake. Flat Sake Cup → This type of sake cup with a wide mouth spreads sake all over the tongue, making it easy to perceive the complexity of the aroma and taste. The flavor as well as the aroma is more open from the beginning in this shape, so it is softer than the ordinary type. Tsubaki: Normal Sake Cup The rounded shape of the cup allows the sake to spread over the entire tongue and spread to all the taste buds on the tongue, making it easier to perceive the complexity of the aroma. Spring and Autumn Cylindrical Sake Cups Cylindrical cup→The width of this cylindrical cup, which is straight, runs narrowly to the tip of the tongue, making it easier to perceive a floral sensation rather than sourness or bitterness. ■特徴 この3種類の盃は形状の違いにより、味（香味）の変化を楽しむことができます。酒をテイスティングするように、器で好みの味を見つけていただければと思います。 平型盃→この口が広がっているタイプは舌全体に酒が広がり、香味が複雑性をもって感じやすい。この形状では香りと同様に味わいも最初から開きやすいため、並型より柔らかいものになる。椿 並型盃 並型盃→丸みを帯びているため、舌全体に広がり、舌の味蕾全体にゆきわたるから香味が複雑性をもって感じやすくなる。春秋 筒型盃 筒型盃→まっすぐに伸びるこの筒型盃は、舌先に幅が細くながれてくるので、どちらかというと酸味や苦味よりもあまやかな感触が感じやすい。 平型には「ぶどう」が房になって垂れ下がっているものを、並型には「椿」の花が咲いているものを、筒型には桜ともみじの「春秋」、白磁の上からシンプルで飽きの来ない染付けで描いてあります。 [感想] 最初は半信半疑で試したけど、実際に味が変わってびっくりしました。ちょっと不思議な気分だけど説明をきけば「ああそうか」って気がしました。（スタッフ） [窯元・作家] 九谷正峰
